The Biology Stockroom
Molecular Genetics Laboratory
The Molecular Genetics Laboratory at San Francisco State University provides molecular genetics equipment, computer analysis facilities and software, and training in the use of the facilities and software, to undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, faculty, and visiting researchers.
Cell and Molecular Imaging Center
This center provides state of the art equipment and training for many aspects of contemporary biological light microscopy and cellular imaging. This includes confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, deconvolution, calcium ratio imaging, time-lapse photography, morphometric image analysis and more.
The Electron Microscopy Facility
Harry D. Thiers Herbarium
Sierra Nevada Field Campus
The SNFC is in Sierra County at 1900 meters in elevation. It is an ideal location for researchers studying montane organisms. In summer it offers a rich curriculum of courses.
Romberg Tiburon Center
San Francisco State University's Marine Laboratory: Advancing the understanding of the world’s complex marine and estuarine environments through research, education, and outreach, with a focus on San Francisco Bay. Many SFSU faculty and students with interests in Marine Biology are located here.
The SFSU Greenhouse
The brand-new Greenhouse facility is up and running. Located just north of Hensill Hall, it is a modern, computer-controlled greenhouse that supports research and teaching in the Department of Biology.
